Easy to execute, our focus on musculoskeletal health (“MH”) delivers significant results for your organization. To start with, over 96% of MH problems are avoidable. Additionally, MH problems like low back, shoulder, or knee pain are common precursors to lower activity levels, weight gain, and the chronic (i.e. expensive) health conditions that arise from such a lifestyle. Finally, MH solutions are also far cheaper and far more effective than pharmaceutical or surgical options.

MUSCULOSKELETAL HEALTH
Our flagship offering provides your employees a high-tech, high-touch program for eliminating low back pain, recharging emotional energy, and improving overall morale and welfare. We have expertly combined world class physical therapy techniques, strength building tools, and mindfulness training into a digital platform. Add in seminars and onsite coaching to optimize the impact of this program.
Organizations typically launch a pilot cohort on Level 1 of the program, which lasts 8 weeks. The Pilot Cohort can roll immediately into Level 2 while new cohorts start on Level 1. There are four Levels to the program, lasting 52 weeks in total.
30 DAYS AT YOUR DESK
Being deskbound has significant long term health consequences, but the solution isn’t just about a standing workstation. For any employee stuck at a workstation there are specific movement, nutrition, mindset, and joint health considerations to take into account. In this easy-to-implement 30 day challenge, participants are provided 20 practical and actionable tools and tips to offset the time tied to their workstation – seated or standing.

ONSITE COACHING (OUR STAFF)
For organizations in San Diego we offer onsite coaching to guide participants through the Musculoskeletal Health programs. Coaching can be from 1-4 days a week, although most organizations choose twice weekly. Every group gets hands-on guidance from both an expert physical therapist AND strength coach to more effectively apply the movement principles of the programs. Onsite coaching improves engagement and completion rates, and helps create an awesome community for program participants.
ONSITE COACHING CERTIFICATIONS (YOUR STAFF)
Many organizations prefer to have classes taught by their own staff. If you would like your staff to be trained in the Your Movement Rx philosophy, movement principles, and coaching standards we offer a certification program to go along with the Musculoskeletal Health program.

USING THE BREATH TO HEAL
We take 20,000 breaths a day. More than simply a way to get oxygen, the breath is a unique tool to bridge the gap between the mental, emotional, and physical aspects of healing and longevity. Combining the breath with musculoskeletal techniques helps the body to downregulate, better protect the spine and reduce inflammation. Nutrition advice abounds, but it can be difficult and time consuming to decide which approach is best. This course will detail some of the popular nutrition strategies and help participants fashion a customized plan to move towards health, body composition, and performance goals.

STRENGTH TRAINING 101: USING WEIGHTS SAFELY AT ANY AGE OR SHAPE
You want your employees to exercise, right? You may even have a facility onsite or subsidize gym memberships. A large percentage of those employees will be lifting weights, and we guarantee you at least 90% of them are doing so incorrectly. Most people do not understand how to stabilize their spine and control their extremities through their ranges of motion.
We have found that by teaching simple principles, participants can eliminate most of the risks attached to how they move. We have taught thousands of personal trainers, coaches, and healthcare practitioners around the world about proper weightlifting form and movement patterns. Let us teach your employees directly. Participants learn their own movement dysfunctions, how to correct them, and how to apply that knowledge to common weightlifting exercises.
BODY WEIGHT MOVEMENTS
Most fitness-related movements are done without any weights. Even though these aren’t loaded, these movements are the most common source of shoulder, knee and foot pain. When there’s pain, most healthcare providers provide the wrong advice – “Stop doing ______.” Our team of movement experts and physical therapists will guide your personnel on understanding their joint and tissue limitations in the daily human movements of pushing, pulling, hinging, squatting, and carrying. Then we’ll teach them to do these well.
INTERMEDIATE TACTICAL: RUN FASTER AND LONGER WITH LESS PAIN
Running should be one of the most natural of human movements, yet modern lives create movement dysfunctions that make running harmful. In this seminar our running movement experts help participants self-assess their limitations, learn tools to correct those limitations, and coach proper running form.

INTERMEDIATE TACTICAL: POWER LIFTS DONE WELL
For every 10 people on your team pulling and pushing heavy weight, at least 8 are doing it incorrectly because of movement dysfunctions. Because of the sheer volume of weight put on the bar for these lifts, poor movement patterns can have drastic consequences. We know you’re not going to get personnel to stop squatting and deadlifting, so let’s make sure they learn to do it well. Our physical therapist lifting experts teach your team to understand their own joint and tissue limitations, how to eliminate those limitations, and perform these movements properly.

Because of the speed and change in direction of the clean & jerk and the snatch, poor technique can quickly lead to injury.
